Why Veterans First Consulting is commissioning independent research into veterans' experience of the DVA claims process

Since 2022, Veterans First Consulting has helped over 9,000 veterans and their families through the difficult and often frustrating claims process. We’ve seen firsthand how there are still many improvements to be made to make the system simpler and more aligned with veteran needs.

As Australia’s largest independent advocacy group for veterans pursuing compensation claims, we have been committed to working in partnership with other stakeholders in the sector to support meaningful reform. We all share the goal of keeping veteran wellbeing at the forefront of it all.

That is why we’re commissioning independent research into veterans’ experience with the DVA system, to gather up-to-date insights on veteran wellbeing, lived experiences and unmet needs.

This data will help expand and deepen what we’ve learnt through years of supporting veterans, so we can continue providing the very best service and representation.
