It can not be relied upon as accurate, complete or reliable and it does not replace the assessment process undertaken by the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA).

The DVA uses an internal permanent impairment calculator which is not made available to veterans or the general public to decide on your final compensation. They provide a detailed guide called the Guide to Determining Impairment and Compensation (GARP M), which identifies the permanent impairment calculation process based on a total impairment rating out of 100 points.
